Special Programs
While we love all our activities at camp, our favorites are the ones where everyone is together. Our specialty program days give us a little variety and a lot of fun!
Theme Days
The Pirates of Paradox Lake, Mardi Gras, Opposite Day, these are just a few of the special days we have during the session week. On theme days we sleep in, connect as a full camp, and do what camps do best - focus on the fun.
Carnival
One the most fun days of the year! A traditional carnival with traditional carnival foods, dunk tanks, carnival booths, characters, bouncy castles and so much more!
Olympics
This one day, multi team event happens at the end of 1st and 3rd session and gives campers a chance to compete in everything from tug-o-war to relay and everything in between.
Color War
Our biggest event of the summer happens at the end of 2nd session and is a two-day, multi team competition for the whole camp. Campers, counselors, and staff all compete to win the color war cup.
Evening Activities
Evening activities only have one goal: fun. They can either be full-camp or age specific. We want our camp to feel like one family. Many of our Evening Activities are enjoyed with the whole camp together at once! Socials, campfires, lip sync battles, talent shows, and more bring us all together as one Southwoods community. However, what’s super fun to a 9 year old is not always what fires up a 14 year old. Our age-appropriate evening activities give our campers a chance to bond with other campers in the same stage of life as themselves. These can be movie nights, bunk parties, star gazing, and more.
